Vukuzenzele: Wake up and do something!
Apparently that’s what it means. I want to add something:
Vukuzenzele: Wake up and say something!
You’re all being ripped off. Why can I see it when you all can’t?

So we didn't leave after breakfast. We tried to, but the Land Cruiser's fanbelt broke when we started up. Seems like every guy in South Africa is a DIY mechanic, because they all turned to me and demanded my pantyhose. They were all horrified when I told them that I don't have pantyhose with me...sheesh, I'm camping out in the wild, and it's HOT, and I'm wearing sandals. "But that's the only reason to BRING girls on camping trips, to use their ... Read More

So here I am, sitting on Signal Hill again. (They call it signal hill because you can't get any reception down on the beach, you have to come to the top of the hill to phone or send email)

We'd left Durban early on Saturday morning. It's only a 4-hour drive, but we took longer than that, as we were taking it easy, stopping along the way to look at the scenery.

Yeah I've been busy, sorry :) Apart from being busy, at first I had no internet while travelling, which was because I didn't have the proper tools, I was just using a mobile phone. Which was very slow and very expensive. Now, thanks to some tech-savvy guys I met in Durban, I have this:

and it allows me to do what I'm doing: It's early morning and I'm sitting on a hill in Mozambique watching the ... Read More

They call South Africa a world in one country, and now I'm starting to understand why. when you travel here, you travel from stunning landscape to stunning landscape, it's just breathtakingly beautiful. When I left Jozi the other day, it took a while to actually get out of the city. After about 4 hours of highway had lunch in a place called Harrismith, and not long after that the mountains...I don't even know what to say about the Drakensberg, it's just too ... Read More

before I leave for the Drakensberg.
I just spoke to the two girls I'd shot on Tuesday, and they're going ahead and joining up! Yay :)
This blonde bombshell has incredibly long legs:

And her gorgeously gothic sister had a fit of the giggles at first:

But they both settled down into the shoot and I eventually managed to talk them out of their clothes :)
Lovely names they have! No of course it's not their real ... Read More

Haiti. That's what's on my mind. To ALL of you, re-tweeting and re-posting calls for aid to Haiti: where the FUCK were you when people were dying in Rwanda and Burundi? Where were you when Mugabe was massacring 100s of thousands in Zimbabwe? And he hasn't stopped, you know...where are you now? Why is it all about Haiti?
Don't get me wrong, I feel for the people in Haiti. But really: wake up and stop being such a sheep. You're being played by ... Read More

Soccer, soccer, soccer. I hear it, breathe it, taste it wherever I go. The excitement is contagious, I catch myself feeling adrenalin-rushes when I see the logos and branding. Everyone's talking about it constantly. Apparently the national team isn't performing too well, which is a pity seeing that the world cup is being hosted here. They're called Bafana Bafana, and I was quite surprised to hear what it means: Boys Boys. wtf?
There's also a women's national team. They're called Banyana Banyana. Guess ... Read More

Which is, of course, what I'm here for, after all. Shooting strippers. No, with my camera, silly :)

So on Tuesday I went to the studio to meet up with Oluchi, the girl I'd met at the mall in Soweto. She was very shy at first, but I finally managed to talk her out of her clothes :) Here are two photos from the set:
